FROM THE BOOKSHELF: Frequency – The Power of Personal Vibration by Penney Peirce

Frequency by Penney Peirce is one of those books that sometimes takes you out on a limb. You find yourself asking, “Really?” Despite this, I found myself coming back over and over again to continue reading.  It actually was several months before I completed this book. I would put it down and then suddenly one day pick it up again to find that I was intrigued once more. I found that I could accept being taken out on a limb by Peirce because, for the most part, the book spoke to my heart. I saw great truth and hope in it.

With great skill and detail, Peirce teaches us about all the energy vibrations in our world from the outside environment and the earth itself to the energy waves of our bodies. She then discusses how we all have an individual personal vibration. This frequency changes and is influenced by all that we encounter around us, but she tells us that we can learn to find our purest personal vibration. This frequency she calls our “home frequency.” When we are in our home frequency, we are operating from our best place, from the place of our soul.

The book is organized beautifully, which is probably why I could put it down and then easily pick it up again where I’d left off without the content losing any meaning. Peirce begins with discussions about vibrational frequencies in general including those generated by our brains, hearts and the environment. Readers spend time examining their own vibrations wherever they are at this time and learn how to free themselves from negative vibrations, and then you are guided to finding your own highest personal vibration. Peirce also goes beyond this to examine high vibrational living in your job and in your personal relationships as well as helping us to imagine a world where everyone operated from their highest vibrational frequency.

I love inspiring quotes, and Peirce sprinkles them generously throughout the book. I also appreciated the recaps at the end of each chapter which allow the reader to review all that was covered in the chapter before going on to the next. Best of all, each chapter includes exercises and a guided meditation that can help you practice what has been taught in that section. Each one captures your imagination, and you find yourself immersed in your own inner visions. One of my favorite exercises is called “Activate Your Diamond Light Body” which enables you to find your home frequency when situations have pulled you away from it.

Peirce, like so many others, writes that we are coming out of the age of technology and moving towards an age of intuition. This is a time when we all learn to operate in a world of energy and vibrations. It is a time when we begin to recognize that there is so much around us to discover that has been unseen by most of us for too long.  As the book was coming to a close, I especially appreciated Peirce’s discussion of empathy and compassion and how these must be what we use as our operating systems if humanity is to move forward. Peirce believes that when we are in our highest frequency, operating from empathy and compassion comes naturally. Her words here are some you want to share with everyone. I had never heard it all explained so clearly and eloquently.

So take yourself out on a limb. Penney Peirce’s book is well worth it. It’s full of well-researched information, wonderful exercises, and it will make you feel, and question, and wonder. And isn’t that what it’s all about? I have a feeling that sometime in the future we will look at this book and say, “Penney Peirce was right on!”
