The Glad Game Turns One Hundred

One of my favorite movies growing up was Walt Disney’s Pollyanna made in 1960. That movie was based on a 1913 novel by Eleanor H. Porter. Pollyanna is an 11-year- old orphan that comes to live with her dour aunt. No matter what happens to Pollyanna, however, she plays the Glad Game she’d learned from her late father, a missionary.
